mysql - how to turn off the automatic insertion of database name when selecting fields?

I can't find anyway of turning off the database name being inserted before every table name and therefore every field I select. The application seems to require that the database is named in the query, but none of the examples I've seen have it showing. how do you turn it off?

Dear Phil,

Please open the Connection properties dialog, click at the Options button and find the "Skip Name Prefixes" option at the Advanced tab.

Thanks Sergey, that option was already selected, and changing to one of the other options and then changing it back made no difference. So when I create a query, whenever I add a table or field it still puts the database name in. Does this work on a different version (I am on 2.2.0.0)

I also have this issue with 2.5.1
So is this a bug or is there some way to make it work?

Dear Christopher,

To turn off the database name being inserted before database objects name, you should set it as Default database in Connection properties dialog.
