HomeActive Query BuilderCollapse schema owner

Collapse schema owner

Hi,

How can I make the tables pane to the left collapsed by default so that the user
can select the schema owner he wants instead of having to collapse the all to be able to view the available schema owners.
(DBMS Oracle 10g)

Thanks in advance.

Set the QueryBuilder.MetadataTreeOptions.DefaultExpandLevel to 1.

Hi

How do I do that for the ActiveX version?

Kind Regards,

Using the IActiveQueryBuilderX.TreeOptionsMetadata.DefaultExpandLevel property.

How do I access that property in javascript?

having "qb" an Active Query Builder object, you may simply write:

qb.TreeOptionsMetadata.DefaultExpandLevel = 1;

Thanks! This is what I ended up with to load with all the schemas in the metadatatreeview collapsed, by putting it in my javascript function after the code that sets the connected = true attribute:

var qb = window.document.forms[0].QueryBuilder;
qb.TreeOptionsMetadata.DefaultExpandLevel = 0;

Is there any way to speed up displaying a big database by only loading the tables in each schema when their node is expanded?

Dear Jeremy,

It will be possible soon. This feature is already in our to-do list.
