How do I connect

I downloaded Flyspeed SQL Query. We are looking for a ADHoc business user reporting tool.
Whenever I try to connect to a MS SQL Server I receive the following error message:
Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2]

How can this be resolved?

Dear Tom,

Some peolpe reported that running the following command worked:

Get Computer Name from System Properties->Full computer Name.
Get SQL instance name (for example, it could be "SQLEXPRESS").

sqlcmd -S<computerName>\SQLEXPRESS -E

Searching the Internet I found the following article that might be helpful for you. I am sure you will find some more. Also you may ask your database administrator for help.

Hope this helps.
