Metadata Filtering

I am looking for some examples on how to properly filter what objects load in the database objects pane. Specifically, the Filter by Schema Name and Filter by Object Name fields. I have searched the forum and knowledgebase and found only references to code. I want to know what information to put into these fields to properly restrict what loads. I have experimented quite a bit with no luck.

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help me.

Dear Randy,

It is better to explain this with example. Can you describe, how you want to filter your metadata?

Genereally there are two types of items: the Incude items add range of objects to be included by the filter; the exclude items removes range of items from those that were selected with include items. If there were no incusion items in the filter, exclusion items remove the objects from the whole scope of objects. Filtration result does not depend on the order of filter items.

If you want to include only tables, but not views and procedures from specified schema, you should add one exclusion filter item for views and procedures and one inclusion item for tables with specific schema.
