Active Query Builder performance with large select list

There seems to be a delay, sought of like the Query builder is auto-refreshing when you have a large selection list in the query builder. Is there a way to disable the auto-refresh so that you can build more complex queries without delays triggering?

I should have mentioned also that this happens when you are manually editing the query from the text box at the bottom of the form.

Dear Bob,

The problem is not in the refresh, but in the grid control itself. We will investigate this issue once again and let you know if it's possible to improve the performance.

Have you considered changing the Grid Control to use server mode?

Sorry, but it seems that I did not understood your question right. I supposed that you talking about the ASP.NET Edition. The ASP.NET Edition has the problem with performance on large selection lists, but we have not received any complains about the performance of the WinForms edition.

Please let us know the version AND edition of Active Query Builder you are talking about. Do you use the DevExpress UI of the WinForms edition? You may also sumbit a request and send us your large query text in order to reproduce and investigate the problem.

We improved the performance of the ASP.NET Query Columns Grid control in the latest version.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
